COMPANY HISTORY

DIGITAL DINING was originally developed and installed in Australia in 1978. The product was introduced in the United States in 1984 and the Virginia corporation, Menusoft, was formed. In 1984, the first U.S. DIGITAL DINING system was installed at a small Washington D.C. tavern with three workstations. Today, DIGITAL DINING can be seen at the largest greyhound racetrack in the world, the Gulf Greyhound Track, Houston, Texas, boasting over 90 workstations.

The company owns and operates its business in a multi-story commercial building with approximately 10,000 square feet of office facilities in Springfield, VA. Since 1984, Menusoft has increased sales and profitability every year of operation and is a debt free corporation. With over twenty years of hard work and diligence, Menusoft has established its product, DIGITAL DINING, as the leader of PC-based restaurant systems.  

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Software

DIGITAL DINING is a completely integrated restaurant management system. Its point-of-sale programs includes home delivery and a multi-plan Frequent Diner program. The software includes report generators that archive history files for any period of time. DIGITAL DINING'S standard DBF file format allows files to be exported for use in other software programs and can be accessed from any location. Additional modules allow on-line credit card authorization, labor scheduling, detailed inventory control, and full accounting system making DIGITAL DINING the most comprehensive product available in the industry.

Hardware Requirements

DIGITAL DINING'S hardware platform is one of its biggest attractions. The system runs on any Intel or AMD compatible processor, and runs on any of the 32 bit Microsoft Windows platforms. DIGITAL DINING's supports most serial and parallel peripherals such as printers, cash drawers, pole displays, etc. While DIGITAL DINING is primarily designed for use with a touch screen workstation, keyboard entry is built into the design to lower hardware costs. DIGITAL DINING allows the user to mix or match any combination of the technologies.
